 Boyd Brumm was born in Mediapolis, Iowa Dec. 6, 1922 and was graduated from Mediapolis high school with the class of 1940. In January 1942, he enlisted in the Navy, taking his boot training at the Great Lakes training station. He then was sent to Melville, R. L., for specialized motor-torpedo boat training. He served on patrol duty on the Atlantic seaboard but went to European waters just before the invasion of France in 1944. Boyd died in battle with Germans on the 9th of August 1944. Surviving his-parents, Mr. and Mrs Clayton Bramm; two brothers, William and Dale, and 4 sisters. Helen, Dorothy, Lorma and Kathleen.
